Can’t Wait for Spring Break!

By Heather Bishara

By this time in the winter I am done… done with cold weather, done with rounding up hats, gloves and scarves for my kids, and done with being inside. But as much as I want Spring to reveal its glorious self to us, it may yet be another couple of months before I truly get the shorts and tee shirt weather that I’ve been dreaming about.

That’s why spring break is so wonderful!

It comes at a time when we’re just chomping at the bit for the sand, sun and fun of a beach vacation. This year we’re going to Wild Dunes Resort in South Carolina, a little oasis of a beach village 30 minutes east of Charleston. So with the location picked, I just need to freshen up my beach toy collection to make the trip perfect. Here’s what I’ve got my eye on at Kazoo Toys:

1. Peek a Boo Beach Dump Trucks by Small World Toys

Every year I say I’m going to replace my old, faded and mostly broken sand toys with some shiny new ones, but this year I really mean it! Small World Toys offers a great selection of beach toys. I especially like their Beach Toy Dump Trucks which I know my boys will get miles of fun out of by digging, dumping and rolling these trucks all over the sand hills and valleys at the beach!

2. Max Monster Blaster by Primetime Toys

I was so excited to find Max Monster Blaster water toys on the Kazoo Toys site! They remind me of stomp rockets, which my boys love, except they are hand propelled and shoot water instead of foam rockets high into the air. They come in several different monster characters with funny heads and tails to make them that much more fun.

3. Baby Fill and Fun Water Play Mat by Earlyears

Whether you’ve got an toddler or not, I am a fan of bringing a small baby water mat or pool to the beach for my kids to cool off in without having to brave the waves. This little mat blows up easily and fills with water so little ones, and even bigger ones, can have some low key time at the beach.

If you’re going on vacation or staying home this spring break, be sure to check out the Kazoo Toys website for some fantastic outdoor toys to add to the fun. You’ll be glad you did!
