Christmas is Coming!

I absolutely love this time of year! Everything seems so warm and cozy and everyone has a little more skip to their step. And now that I have my holiday toy shopping done for my own two kids, I can breather a little easier… but just a little bit easier. You see, I still have so much more to do! There are nieces and nephews as well as little friends that I still need to buy for. These kids range in age from 10 months to 13 years old, are both boys and girls, and have interests and tastes that run the gamut.
What’s a girl to do?

This solar kit is one gift that has me really excited! I’m looking at it for my 13 year old babysitter. He’s a pretty gifted kid who loves science and, since I love him a lot, I think I’m going to go the extra mile and add this to his Christmas gift. It’s one that I can feel good about giving him and one I think he will really like.
3. Backyard Flyer Vector by Kid Galaxy
What kid does not like a toy that flies? I can’t think of one! That makes the Backyard Flyer Vector perfect for my 8 year old neighbors. The only problem with this toy is that my two boys are going to be jealous so maybe I should get them one too!
4. Wood Sandwich Making Set by Melissa and Doug
I have to say, I love Melissa and Doug. Anything I’ve bought from them has been a huge hit with the kids. Their products are also a huge hit with parents because the toys are extremely durable which makes them great to pass down to younger kids. They are also really great toys for children with special needs.
5. Calico Critters Country Tree House by Calico Critters
I know a little five year old who has been eyeing this Calico Critters Country Tree House for quite some time. It’s a little more on the pricey side so I’m going to convince another family member or two to split the cost with me so that we can surprise this little gal on Christmas morning with her perfect gift. After all, that’s my favorite part of Christmas… seeing the look on the kid’s faces as they open their presents. I just love it!
